I generally like hurt/comfort but I find it frustrating when it becomes too one sided and the hurt side is portrayed as heavily relying on the other person. I like it much more when there's a better balance I guess? Like even if the fic is focusing on when A is hurt it's made obvious that it's an equal relationship and A will do the same for B when the situation is reversed. Or when the comfort isn't to the degree of needing it but it's nice and it's support coming from someone they love and trust, it doesn't make everything better but it makes things easier and more bearable.
I hate it when it's post major trauma hurt/comfort though because I feel like half the time it's subtly manipulative but neither the character or writer really acknowledge that and it's just really uncomfortable.

i am one of the participants for this challenge and im JUST SO ANGRY ABOUT IT. i even emailed the mods about it, but unsurprisingly no one responded. all they did was to unstick the ibb sign up list on dashi
actually, i checked her mentions and she was telling her friend about how disappointed she was with the exchange. and that she thought she would get used to it because she is in exo ficdom bc exo fandom = disappointment or something
