yes /o\ it was supposed to be just a 500 words type of fluff fill for a pairing i don't even heavily stan and now it's getting bigger and bigger as i am writing it
that can make it so hard to write, and have fun with it! don't worry about what other people are doing, and don't think about making mistakes! what what you want, tell the stories you want to tell, you can't go wrong with that! the editing process is a godsend really, I always leave a few days after finishing something and then I can go back to it much more objectively and see what I need to fix!
i'm working on one that but it's going to be long, and i never know if i should just post it in parts as i work on it or i should wait until i finish the one whole thing...but the deal is it probably will take me like 2 weeks maybe to finish it so idk what is better
okay thanks for the input anon :) i was planning on writing it anyway in a complete fic form, so i'll write some more and post a couple parts, post as i go, and at the end finish it up and post it in a complete version on my journal
no, but i sort of want to. there even was a prompt for my otp and i was like ;;; bec it wasn't rly my style and a little too elaborate/lengthy for me rn but i was thinking of maybe just writing a few scenes for it just bec otp and everything but idk
i agree with the other anon! it's meant to be a fun meme and no one expects like a perfect 10k fic at once. and as someone with a few prompts out there i can tell you that i'd even be happy about tiny drabbles :(
aww what prompts are yours? there are a few i'd just fill for the hell of it but i have to get into the mood to you know write porn, and sometimes i feel like the prompt should have more than 500 words
not as stupid as the mods letting way more people join than they can handle and the challenge falling apart. they're smart enough to know their limits and act accordingly.
i think the reason a lot of people found olymfics unrewarding was because they focused so much on the voting and commenting and participation. i found it very rewarding because i focused on the friendships within my team and the fun we had during writing and how much i liked my prompt. i think people's disappointment or satisfaction with olymfics this year really depended on what part of the challenge was most important to them.
which one is it? i wouldn't give up just yet it's just been what, two days? i am still in the process of planning/writing for one or two prompts that caught my eye and others might still do the same ♥
oh god I feel dumb now, I've completely lost track of time and thought longer had passed than that! (not that I was whining, cause if no one does end up writing mine I probably will anyway). IGNORE ME I AM SILLY T_T
