actually, i can understand where you're coming from, anon. he could've definitely handled the situation in a much, much more mature way but i can see why he'd be pissed off--if a bunch of people who subscribed to a culture i didn't agree with attended an event dedicated to a completely different type of attitude, i would be really frustrated. regardless of whether the fans were calm or not during the event itself, their presence and ignorance of underground concert etiquette would be aggravating. b-free was a total asshole about it and he should be apologetic for his actions and the repercussions they had, but i think his anger itself did kind of have a basis, even if it was definitely directed at the wrong people/expressed in the absolute worst way possible.
ik the feel anon. i have actually found a few ppl to talk fic with and it's great, even though i still long for someone to get all deep into it with and like brainstorm together with and beta each other's fics and stuff. u__u it's hard to find someone who is on your level and likes the same stuff and, idk has the same way of thinking? not only should you like the same ppl you should also like the same kind of fic lol. it's even harder if you're in a small fandom and also prefers obscure ships u___u
the fans were well behaved and were encouraged to take pics so he's the one that ends up looking unprofessional. The event organizers wanted fans of rapmon and suga there. bfree doesn't get to decide who can and cannot come to events. plus, one can be Dan of idols and the underground at the same time so to assume all the fans were clueless is questionable
da re: substance yeahhh. i mean i cherish every comment and i like getting just a keysmash or a lol or a emoticon but sometimes i wish... can't they at least write something i can actually write a response to u___u
i don't doubt they were well-behaved and respectful to all of the participants in the event, nor am i saying that the event planners didn't have a major effect on the situation. actually, i think the people most at fault in this whole ordeal are the planners, who seriously should have taken the feelings of the artists into consideration when organizing the event. i know not all of the fans are/were clueless but some were, which is all there needs to be to spur on a reaction, regardless of whether it was the wrong response or not. i'm also definitely not saying that the fans shouldn't have come, just that i can understand why b-free was angry. i'm assuming many fans of idol groups don't have an active interest in the underground hip-hop scene (some may, don't get me wrong), so their presence at the event was probably very jarring. if i was an artist there, and a lot of the audience i was performing for consisted of people who didn't understand or develop a thorough appreciation for the culture, i would feel pretty shitty. was b-free right in grossly disrespecting all those involved and generally being a dickhead? hell no. did rapmon, suga, and their fans have every right to be there? hell yes. can i, personally, understand the negative emotional response to the situation? definitely. i think the whole thing was a result of awful planning and shit circumstances.
da but you're also talking about grown men who lashed out in very immature ways. sure they felt offended or mad but they are adults. and shit circumstances shouldn't affect their level of respectfulness since it wasn't the fault of the kids they lashed out at.
and i've said this before but the organizers encouraged the fans to take pictures!!!! they invited bangtan because it was a one year anniversary and they had been frequent guests. i'm sure they had a vague idea of what they were getting into even if it got a little out of hand. i still rest most of the blame on the people who started all this mess.
i've actually clarified quite a few times in my above comments that i do not agree with their actions at all. yes, they are grown men and were not justified in acting like immature assholes. honestly, the only thing i'm trying to express is that i can understand why they felt that way. everyone had a right to be there and act as they wished, i'm not arguing that. i'm actually a fan of bangtan and i'm disappointed that this happened, but i can also see how and why such negativity developed. i don't really know what you're trying to convince me of because i do agree that b-free's verbal rampage was disrespectful and out of line, and that rapmon, suga, and bts fans should never have been attacked like that.
jenissi was so proud of his crown too. instead he just wears his prom queen sash to make it clear that crown or no crown, he must still be obeyed.
kidoh's eyes are huge no wonder jin gets lost there if he doesn't have like google maps or something
omg jin making them friendship bracelets im gonna die. and hansol keeps popping up to see what he's doing but jin always hides it very quickly so hansol gets suspicious and decides to investigate.
yeah same. sometimes i wonder if i'm doing something wrong if all my fic provokes is a keysmash/emote or just an "omg this is good" and no real response to the content itself ... but then i have to remind myself that not everyone overthinks comments like i do u______u
even worse is when you have a great title and you're writing a fic that really needs a title but the title you want to use does not fit the unnamed fic at all
hansol is like wtf and eventually guilts jin into making some for him and xero. which then leads to him wanting one for say and then jin has a booming friendship bracelet market and he has no idea what happened.
same :( but then i don't know how great my own writing/editing skills are so i feel like i would be an awful fic friend lol but i still wish i had someone to give me feedback and keep me motivated to write ;_; not to mention i'm just getting back into fic so i don't even know wtf i'm doing so a guiding hand would be awesome ._.
there's probably nothing much wrong with your fic anon. sometimes it takes some time for the comments to plop in. or it hasn't reached the right audience. is it a small fandom you're writing for?
ah thanks anon :') i think it's a pretty substantial fandom but i'm fairly new to it so maybe that's why? i know there are perfectly logical reasons as to why i'm not getting feedback but i can't help but take it a little personally ;_;
that would be the worst/best pickup line ever "hey baby can you check google maps for me cause i'm lost in your eyes"
can someone dare jin to say that to kidoh and he actually does it
every time jin tries to make cute couple jewellery for him and kidoh, hansol manages to make it into the next big trend around school and then suddenly it's not ~special~ anymore. but at least the friendship jewellery business is making him money that he can use to buy little presents for kidoh ... or take him out on dates that they don't call dates but lbr they're dates
