here have a suga/jimin drabble i wrote for someone. i had to keep it within specific size dimensions so it's rushed and tiny but oh well:
Yoongi is waiting at the school gates when Jimin finally gets out of self-study. He's leaning against the brick wall, snapback resting low over his eyes, leather jacket pulled tight over his arms to combat the evening breeze. A group of girls huddle together in front of Jimin, whispering about the cute boy in the jacket. Yoongi catches his eye, mouth curving into a familiar smirk, and Jimin feels a swell of pride in his chest. His shoulder straighten as he walks.
"Ah, you look so young like this," Yoongi says when Jimin's within earshot. "You make me look like a pervert."
"Hyung looks young for his age too," Jimin teases, getting an elbow jabbed at his head for the comment. There's only two-and-a-half years between them, but the difference often feels greater, swallowing up Jimin in the gap. Yoongi's in college, Yoongi has a mixtape with thousands of downloads, Yoongi ate nothing but ramen for two months to save up for the mixer he still won't let Jimin touch. He’s cool. Jimin is still surprised Yoongi wants to spend time with him.
"So," Jimin says when they've stopped at the GS 25 at the end of the block. He contemplates a row of snacks and, knowing he should go for something healthy, sighs in the direction of the tteokbokki chips. "I thought you had a 'thing' today." A “thing” Yoongi hadn’t been specific about, just waving his hand and saying he’d tell Jimin when it was done.
“Aish, get the chips if you want them,” Yoongi says, and before Jimin can call him out for deflecting, he adds, “I had an audition today.”
Jimin knows what that means by the way Yoongi is smiling. Not shit-eating, not even smug like when Jimin compliments him. Just happy. It makes Jimin want to laugh. “You’re going to be a big star, huh?”
Yoongi steps forward, swinging his arm around Jimin’s shoulders. “You gonna be my fan?” Yoongi asks, pressing a kiss to Jimin’s temple that’s so quick Jimin barely registers it. But he does, and his neck goes warm under the thick collar of his uniform. Jimin nuzzles his head into the sleeve of Yoongi’s jacket and nods.
in contrast to the thing about not getting any comments
not that i think silence is superior to getting feedback but it made me examine whether or not i need instant feedback as much as i feel i do. idk what are your thoughts on this writer anons
feedback has never been a need to me, just a want. it's a luxury in the same way writing is, i just have that much free time to dick around and check things. i'll probably never stop wanting feedback but not getting it or getting bad feedback isn't going to make me want to stop writing either.
anon i'm actually sitting here screaming /o\ i ship this so hard and oh my god this is exactly the kind of simple banter i imagine suga and jimin to have. thank you so much for sharing, anon, i really love this and hope to see more in the future!
to parrot anons above, feedback is nice but it's not necessary and it's definitely not something i need to keep me writing. i used to crave it but now i feel better just treating it as a hobby and writing for myself/friends.
awww i'm glad you liked it n__n i wanted to write something sweet and simple for my first venture into bangtan writing but i hope to write a lot more in the future :3
i really really like it! :) this was simple and lovely and i really adore how you wrote suga and jimin's interactions! i honestly never planned on getting into them but they really took me by a storm, and now i'm even considering writing for them maybe someday in the future. hwaiting, anon!
is my ravi/ken anon still around? i wrote some of a fic for you but tbh i got so severely stuck with it i haven't looked at in like a month :( i have no idea if i can finish it, but would you accept my unfinished snippet?
