Freshman year, Taehyung gets really into paranormal investigation. He spends hours reading websites, jumping into forum discussions about the legitimacy of EVPs and cold spots. He makes Jin skip Digimon to watch Ghost Hunters episodes, and talks about going to check out that abandoned mental hospital outside of town.
Jin has more important things to worry about than ghosts, like his voice cracking in the middle of a presentation, or the fact that he's grown three inches in four months and none of his pants fit anymore. It's not that he's, like, afraid of ghosts or anything.
"Can't we just watch Digimon?" he asks Taehyung, from his position on Taehyung's bed with a pillow over his face.
When Mr. Lee announces the start of their dance unit in gym class, Namjoon falls to his knees in what Yoongi later describes as "hugely faking it". But the pain is real for Namjoon, not to mention how real it will be for the unfortunate soul he'll get paired up with from the girls' gym class.
"I'm gonna put you guys into pairs for the unit evaluation," says Mr. Lee, and the groans from the entire class practically shake the gym.
Namjoon thinks it's some kind of cruel joke that he gets partnered with Jimin. The only thing bigger than the difference in their heights is the difference in their skill levels, and Namjoon's on the losing side of the one that counts. But Jimin is patient, and he waits the whole week it takes Namjoon to build up the nerve to ask him to meet after school to practice.
They've only been learning the steps individually in class for the past week, but Namjoon knows the time is coming to go in pairs. The first time he and Jimin awkwardly attempt to embrace each other, he starts cracking up, spasming out of their handhold and nearly tumbling over. "Ah, I'm sorry," he says, wiping his eye.
"It's okay," says Jimin. "C'mon, we can do this. One of us just has to lead and the other follows."
"I guess that would be me," Namjoon says, looking down at his sneakers as he shakes out his feet. He clears his throat and settles into his body. "All right. Let's try this."
There's no music in the small south gym, only the squeaking of their sneakers and Jimin's careful counting of "one-two-three, one-two-three". Namjoon stumbles over their feet a couple of times and makes them both laugh, but when he wants to let go and run off to the corner of the room Jimin only adjusts his grip on his hand and says, "Let's do that one again." Leading means he's pulling Namjoon slightly, and the arm that's at first loosely holding onto his waist gradually loops closer until his forearm rests along Namjoon's back. "You're getting it," he says, and Namjoon feels like if he stops he'll lose something, so he lets Jimin pull him into another wide trotting circle along the basketball court.
"You should dip me," he says, and Jimin snorts so hard he almost lets go - but he doesn't, not yet.
dongjun / kevin / how you wanted it to be From a distance, Kevin watches Dongjun grow up - not so much taller, but wiser, more certain - as if trying to fill the space he'd left behind.
heechul / siwan / prince charming The man who arrived was scrawnier and scrappier than what Heechul had been expecting, but it had been a while since he'd seen another man, and anyway he wasn't exactly in a position to be picky.
dongjun / hyungsik / damaged They fall into Dongjun's bed, sliding against each other's skins, and when he comes, Hyungsik finally says the three words he's been trying to say all night: "We should stop."
hyungsik / siwan / a bet "One for me, and one for my girlfriend," says Hyungsik to the waiter cheerily, and under the table Siwan stomps on his foot as hard as he can with his high heels.
anon above mentioned the extra Rs always added onto the end of words at places like kpsm2 and it made me wonder, where did that even come from? i see it everywhere but i've never known why.
(hijacking yur thread hi) what i've been wondering is where "oppar" comes from originally? because i always thought it was a meme thing but now i see it over half of tumblr and then i wonder if all these ppl are anons or whether "oppar" has spread, or if it has other roots than meme
op of the previous thread about added Rs, and while i can wrap my mind around oppar/unnir, what i don't understand is adding it to names, like jaehyor etc. like. why???
yes it came from kpsm2 lj and it was taken outside the meme by anons and then people who weren't anons caught ahold of it and now it's used widely though i doubt many people know that it came from kpsm2 if they learned it from somewhere else (tumblr, twitter, etc)
the extra r's put on words by kpsm2 dw is used as a form of nickname and/or endearment to the person in question. usually only used when the name ends in a vowel or is mashed with say, unnir
