of course. i feel like it would be the hugest diss ever not to comment on your gift fic. i've actually seen a lot of authors upset about this and idk why anyone wouldn't. they spent all that time and effort writing a fic that the recipient asked them for, so the recipient would have to be ungrateful as hell not to at least thank them.

and imo, even if you hate it you should still leave them at least a small "thank you for writing this!" or something along those lines. it still took time and effort.

it's not terribly exciting anon. aron is an exchange student to korea and minhyun is a lifeguard at the swimming pool on campus. aron tries to woo minhyun. and that's all i have right now

it's written as a monologue of someone describing a strange sexual relationship they had when they were younger, but it's in a science-fiction-y universe. it's more weird than sexy. i'm so bad at sexy and i'm trying to practice.

+1 i don't expect everyone to leave a huge gushing comment if they didn't like something or the author ignored their dislikes/squicks but a polite thank you isn't hard to muster up
