one of my pet peeves is lack of communication which is happening in spades here. also mods who claim to be busy with rl so cant answer questions right away. if you're too busy don't be a mod plain and simple

tbh i sort of see where they're coming from with the "info will be given through the lj-comm so follow the lj-comm" but you'd think it's in their interest to reach out to the participants as much as possible and i mean how long would it even take to type up and send out a mass email saying there's a check-up? five minutes?

i think i'm having too much fun watching this exchange fall apart than i should be
and it started out promising in the form of vixx fics and camaraderie and just what made it become like this it's like a detective mystery story

i was so excited even tho i had a christmas exchange in mind and knew i could do a better job. turns out i could've.
or maybe have been more explicit about not emailing people? (maybe they were and i just missed it)
as someone who only keeps an lj to sign up for things i find it frustrating that the assumption is that i use it regularly enough to catch updates. especially since lj is not phone friendly at all whereas email is phone friendly. and it's not hard to copay and paste your lj post into an email and bcc everyone on it.
ikr and it's not like they think abt it when someone points it out either like hmmm maybe it would be better if this was screened no they're just like nope it's not gonna be screened
lj use is so low nowadays. i mean who actually writes blog like entries on their lj and has their friends comment on it that much anymore?

okay but if our summaries are going to change then do they assume we're all just going to start writing something new after the check in????? if you have enough fic for a summary you're probably going to stick with it at this point. and if you do think our summaries are going to radically change why even ask for them?????
there is a tracking thing! and i check my flist every day for omona and ontd_p but i'm not going to add vixx_exchange to my flist
ikr ita everybody has different platforms they prefer and as mods they should try to cover as many platforms as possible. as they said you can put up notifications so you'll get emails as soon as they post something. but that doesn't rly seem easier for anybody involved bec ppl will not do it and miss the check ups or ppl will not understand how to do it and thus the mods will have to reply to them and explain and yeah. i just feel that it should be in a mod's interest to make it as clear and simple as possible, for their own sake

anon i literally have no idea. we have a month left, i'm really not planning on changing my summary and it's specific enough so that my recipient would definitely be able to identify me because i'm not writing a generic college au over here.
