:o that was me, anon!!! it's pretty much ready to go, i just need to write up some rules... but i haven't done it mostly because it seems interest in challenges has dropped off lately?? and there were so many going on at the time... general kpop bigbang, a few exo events, infinite bigbang, etc... i didn't want to oversaturate the market, so to say. but if there are people interested i could definitely start it up!! :o

Would anons like for this place to be advertised again? Or would anons prefer a clean slate and to have a new meme created?

Or should we just let this place die completely and not attempt a fic meme revival of any sort?

hm. i don't really know how to answer you, tbh. i both want ficmeme to come back (because it's fun and it makes me more productive fic-wise) and don't want it to come back (because it's a huge procrastination enabler u__u). i also don't know if it's possible at this point to revive it. people have fractured off to so many different memes, i'm not sure that they'd be willing to abandon them or add another meme to their rounds.

on the other hand, though, if ficmeme does make a comeback, i think the existence of group-specific memes might be a big help to the content of the discussions here. when exomeme was first created i really enjoyed it here, because there was so much less non-fic fluff being posted. then igab came out and everything went to hell. :/ but i think ficmeme could be a great place if it could go back to being actually about fic.

if anons are interested in reviving ficmeme, i think that the way to do it would probably be a whole new meme that is aggressively advertised. and i think that it would be up to anons to create discussions that are relevant and interesting enough to hold people's attention. /shrug

on the topic of exchanges/challenges, not that we need any more but i'm thinking of starting an exchange for nugu groups (i.e. groups that don't already have fic fests/exchanges) that would sort of run like ambitiousgirls. i was wondering
1. how many people would be interested, and
2. how people feel about a late june -> late august writing schedule? i want to time it so that it doesn't conflict with kpopbb or the various exo things, but i'd also like to do it as soon as possible.

i like this idea in theory but i think one of the problems multi groups exchanges have in this fandom is people are unwilling to stretch themselves and write outside of a select few groups. and if the list of nugus i or you want fuck for doesn't match up w/ anyone else then we're just out of luck.

nor that i'd want for limit the exchange in anyway but may e saying participants have to willing to write at least one group from a pre determined list would help mitigate that? obviously ppl could ask for groups outside of that but at least there would be some ground.

and on other note, the Valentine exxhange for ag flopped but that format was really nice. maybe if there was still a check in requirement with mod the make sure ppl were working on fic it would yield better results?
