i think the problem with the people in groups who have done solo projects aren't the ones that have success spelled out w/them. like if khun (lol) had gone solo before his scandal, it would've been super popular. solo artists from groups only seem to work if the person has a public following: see hyuna

i think bigbang disproves your point about public relevance and solo idol artists but it's an interesting point nonetheless.

oh but big bang is super popular regardless and ia about them going solo and same would apply to any of the top groups going solo. i'm talking moreso about the less known artists
