skin color in asia is more about class than about race. historically, the lighter people were seen as richer because they stayed inside, while the darker people were the poor ones that worked outside. it's class, not race.
i agree, but anons on the other page were asking how skin color could be a separate issue from race so i thought i'd explain my very shallow understanding of how it's been explained to me.
da yea its mostly people outside asia who assume that (some races of) asians prefer to be fair bc they want to look like white people, when fairness has always been a standard of beauty in certain cultures
