my dog passed away a few years ago now but she was the most neurotic dog I have ever seen. She was sweet and lovely and adorable, but she jumped when cars went by when she was out walking, and she used to be afraid of her own shadow down the hallways of our old house. Silly, neurotic dog of mine ;;
lol no sorry anons if I wasn't clear, she died from old age (well we had to put her down because she was old and it was sad) but she was sweet and neurotic, they are not linked! right up until she died she still thought she was a puppy and could run around like one.
I don't remember any more dog stories right now but I always love that she was so jumpy of everything, she was so sweet ;;
I have a cat! he's really dumb and drools when you pet him and runs into poles and falls off the verandah and then tries to act like it was what he meant to do all along. he's basically the most adorable fluffiest cat in the world.
i used to have a grey cockatiel! his name was smokey and he was the fattest bird, but so picky about what he ate. he only ever ate sunflower seeds and bread crusts, but he also loved to lick the salt off my fingers ;u; i used to whistle to the rhythm of his happy warbling and we ~bonded~ that way, with him whistling something and me whistling back. idt i was ever saying anything but it felt like we were having conversations lmao once i was taking him out of the cage for exercise and he got on my hand but i'd just put on lotion so he couldn't get a good grip and he fell onto his back and i laughed really hard bc i am a bad person u_u
i have a fat orange cat nicknamed egg and he's my family's baby. :3 we have our christmas tree set up in the living room, and he's too stupid to realize it's fake, so he'll sit there and lick the plastic needles and then sneeze because it's still dusty from being down in the basement for eleven months. :| he keeps walking diagonally across the presents to get behind the tree instead of just walking around the circumference of the tree to get behind it, too.
right now, he's curled up on a chair in my room and snoring. i didn't even realize cats could snore!
i have two dogs and they're scared of thunder so whenever it starts thundering they start running towards to nearest person. when we're all upstairs in our bedrooms (they're not allowed upstairs) they kind of just sit on the stairs and whine at us until we come downstairs. same when we wake up and putter around upstairs until we go downstairs - they sit on the stairs until we come down and then they jump on us and beg for pats and lick everywhere they can reach ;;
i have an abused cat i took from a family who was moving away and couldn't have her anymore, so it's been a while and she's just starting get warm up to me. she would hide in my closet all day and night that i'd have to put her food in there with her, but more recently she's taken to following me around and sitting on my chest when i'm in bed or rubbing her face in my feet when i have my feet dangling.
she still runs away when she sees another human though, but we're getting there :)
there was a cat that just walked into our house once and refused to leave so we pm adopted him
then over the summer, me and my mum went on holiday and our dad looked after him. one day he walked out and never returned.
then my aunt couldn't look after her cat anymore because she was moving. she stayed with us and she was a right little psycho because she'd spend all day running around and attacking anything she saw moving, whether it was wires or feet. she started fights with the stray male cat that lives in our neighborhood. he was really shy though, despite being twice her size
then my aunt called for her back and now the stray cat comes to our house about twice a day
Wehave four cats! Two oldies, a maine coon and a devon rex whomwandered into our lives and never quite left. She's a neurotic thing but she looks like Toothless from httyd.
My baby turned 14 todayand it's hard to believe we've had her since i was 10! She's still very spritely for a senior kitty. She's beautiful and my little familiar/as close as i'll get to a daemon.
well, i don't have any pets living with me now because my boyfriend is allergic, but growing up we had a dog and many cats, and my parents still have a few cats. hey have one cat named pookie who is getting on in years now but has always been my favorite, despite being the haughtiest bitch of a cat i have ever known.
she was the runt of her litter: she's fully grown but still the size of a kitten, and her entire life has never been able to meow. she just opens her mouth and squeaks. :3 she has a lot of peculiar habits... for example, she reeeeeeally hates walking on carpets and grass and basically anything soft, so she'll take the most circuitous routes around the house and yard to get to where she wants to go. she walks down all the brick pathways around the house instead of just cutting across the lawn because she hates grass so much. also, when the dog was still alive he was scared to death of her... he was a rottweiler/german shepherd mix, a big, imposing dog, but when we fed him sometimes pookie would get to the food first... he'd just stand across the room and watch her and whine until she left, haha. she would kick him out of his bed too... if she was there first, this tiny little cat in his huge dog bed, he would go and stuff himself into the cat bed instead, lol. it was very amusing.
poor pookie is getting so old though. she likely won't make it through the winter with all the health problems she has nowadays. my parents' house really won't be the same without her. :(
